Her passion for teaching and her love for her students got her to work with them and also for them. With Masters in History and PhD. in Astrology, she became a principal at the age of 35 and has to her credit the remarkable achievement of establishing this institute along side Chairman Dr. Prof. Ramkrishna Sastri as the founder President and Principal.

Vision exists when people in an organisation share an explicit value, beliefs, purposes and goals and when it is visible unanimously in ones thoughts, words and action, it is creating a new venture of vision which only she could successfully achieve in her tenure of work. Prof. Smt. Gopa Sastri is an  advocate for a well – rounded personality development of the students. Under
her stewardship the campus is always abuzz with Students and Lecturers, speakers and events to allow development of life skills, that will serve the students well in their life, work and career.

She has made IIOH of what it is today. She has worked day and night to keep IIOH dignified and not fall prey in the hands of false educationists grown recently. She is the solid backbone of the institution who decides on the necessary changes to be brought and what not to be changed. Under her leadership this Institute has seen the most highest point and she is keeping it
steady, even in today's competitive world with many new institutions growing each day. It is only because of her that IIOH has remained and will remain the most famous, loved and respected institute.

The Indian Institute of Oriental Heritage (IIOH) has a family of over 20 committed and qualified teachers and professors and over 20 supporting staff whose passion for excellence is fueled by Principal Dr. Prof. Gopa Sastri. Under the abled guidance of the Principal the Students and Professors encourage each other to come up with creative responses, showing how learning Astrology or any other Cultural subject can be made more interesting. Her abled guidance has proven to build a strong bond between the students and the faculty and this relationship translates into the IIOH – the Heritage family becoming an eminent & happy centre of learning.

Her work experience ranges from planning an effective curriculum engagements, to running a complete organisational structure competently. She understands the larger purpose of learning Dharma and Astrology. She herself teaches Medical Astrology and Predictive Astrology. Her journey through these years has seen diverse changes and revolutionary practices in
the field of Education and Astrology as such. But she believes that the purpose of learning Dharma Shastra or Astrology is not to fool people but to provide guidance and genuine help and to empower all the stakeholders to facilitate a collaborative environment.

Her core emphasis is on creating scope for autonomy in learning through practices that promote self directed learning. She believes true educational practices are built on the inherent strength of every learner and pare their way to excellence.

Under her abled guidance as the President of IIOH and the Principal of Vishwa Jyotish Vidyapith this institution has immense scope and hope to reach even greater height of Astrology and Dharma Shastra of all times.
